This course is aimed towards those looking to start or improve on their portrait drawing and painting skills in a friendly small group setting.

This course is aimed towards those looking to advance their portrait painting skills to the next level! The course will cover a range of painting techniques and approaches in mixed media, acrylic and oil. Students can expect to complete between 3 and 4 paintings over the course.

Students will be encouraged to utilise a range different mediums (pencil, pastel and ink and collage) and will be inspired to experiment with new styles and approaches to build up confidence in composition and application.

Get Arty launched this new course in February 2023 and it was so much fun. If you'd love to try your hand at some abstract art, love portraits, think you're the next Picasso, this is the class for you!

Taking inspiration from a range of subjects and using a range of different medium to build up a sketchbook and complete one or two paintings. Over the 5 weeks we will explore Inks, Collage, Pastel, Oil pastel and Acrylics to create some vibrant artwork for students to take home!
